Maybelline Color tattoo 24hr VS Essence Stay all day

Hi there!

Here’s a comparison between two similar products.

These two creamy eyeshadows are both in violet, but the consistency is not the same.

IMG_3557

A) Maybelline color tattoo 24 hr  – n°15 “Endless purple”   (maybe 4g ??)

IMG_3571

It’s simply clear also from the swatch below, that it can’t last 24 hours like the label suggests.

The colour is a very niiice violet, with a lot of blue component in it. It’s very smooth but not  easy to apply, the result is an unregular blot of color on the eyelid. You can work the product with you fingers and try to uniform it, but it’s not gonna work.  Maybe doing a third layer of color.. This kind of products it’s perfect if you don’t have too much time to do you makeup, but this color doesn’t work on me!! The positive thing is that it dries quite quickly and it doesn’t stain your clothes.

Price: 8,90 €

Vote: C It’s not worth the price, but it’s not totally a flop 😀

B) Essence Stay all day long lasting eyeshadow – n°8 “The magic must go on”  (5,5 g/0.19 oz)

IMG_3570

This is a more sparkling pinky purple, that lasts a lot on your eyelid.

I wore it during a trip and it last all day long. It went in to the crease, a little bit, not so much as the Maybelline one did. It’s hard to pick up with both fingers and brush. Also  the application is not easy and uniform, but the result seems to be better than the other one, at the second layer.

Price: 3.49 €

Vote: C–  I don’t like the texture, It makes my eyes older thant they really are! :O

I also got another Color Tattoo 24hr, but I’m gonna tell you about it in a new article!

Hope it helped you guys!

Tutty Trukky experiments

Hi everyone!

In the last weeks I was a liiitle busy because of my studies, so… Sorry!

Here are two makeup I did in the last weeks.

1) This girl is on fire!!!

Girl on fire!

IMG_3378

The first one was made with the Ultra Mattes V1 Palette “Brights”  by Sleek + a black oxide by AromaZone.com

2) Red passion

IMG_3536

For this Makeup I used:

-Shadow insurance – Lemon drop – by Too Faced

-Inner conrner of the eye: a  very bright pink/gold pigment by Nevecosmetics (italian mineral brand)

IMG_3554

-Eyelid and outer corner: Essence Red pigment (n°13) and black oxide by AromaZone

IMG_3544 IMG_3546

-As highlighter: Glaciazione, a withe sparkling pigment with light blue reflections

IMG_3548

-For eyebrows: Essence stay all day creamy eyeshadow (as it’s not working at all on my eyelids)

IMG_3547

-I used all the pigments wet, with my natural rice-based water by Nevecosmetics “Nebbia Fissante”

IMG_3553

-Brushes by Nevecosmetics

IMG_3551

-Blush by Nevecosmetics “Soho” a bright fuchsia pink!

IMG_3550

-Mascara “Show Time” by NYC ( I added some Essence fibre to make my lashes longer. )

IMG_3552

I love the Nevecosmetics products as they’re natural and vegan. All of them! The brushes are smooth and worth the price (7-9-12 € per brush).

The NYC Mascara wasn’t working at all when I bought it, my lashes remained short and no volume was added! So I used the Essence fibre and pulled them in… The result was awsome!! My lashes came back from hell!

The red pigment is like FIRE :O It’s really RED and bright and strong and I loooooooove it!!!!!!!

Last (and least, for this time), about the Essence Long lasting Eyeshadow n°8 “the magic must go on”… Well, it’s too much creamy, that’s why it doesn’t remains on my eyelids as long as I wish.. Lenght: half an hour 😦 I’m really upset about this product, as I love the violet brilliant colour of it.

Well, that’s all folks XD

Let me know if you’re using some of this products and what are you experiences with them!

EYE PRIMER comparison

Let’s talk about three eye primers I’ve been using during the last year.

IMG_3354

  1. Rugiada per Makeup by NeveCosmetics
  2. I ❤ Stage by Essence
  3. “Lemon Drop” Shadow Insurance by Too Faced

1- Rugiada per Makeup

IMG_3361

This is a jelly natural primer.

Here are the ingredients:

IMG_3358

PROS: As it’s composed by natural ingredients, it doesn’t irritate the eyes. When dryed, I can’t feel anything on my eyelid. It’s Vegan.

CONS: Duration is not very long. This base works well only with mineral/powder eyeshadows. Beware of creamy pencils or eyeshadows on it!

2- I LOVE ❤ STAGE

IMG_3363

This is a creamy base, the applicator is like the traditional lipgloss one.

Is not all natural, but it’s not “BLEAH!!” at all. 😀

PROS: Duration is better than Rugiada(but on my oily eyelid is not working at it’s best). I’ve used it tons of times and seems to be still new! The price is very low 😉 It’s good also as brow color base.

CONS: It goes into the crease and vanish a little when my face is warmer than usual.

3- Lemon Drop

IMG_3362

Lemon Drop contains a lot of stuff not so healthy for our eyes (read SILICONS) but if you use it sometimes, when you really need something strong, it would not leave any bad effect. (It always depends if you’re more or less sensitive skin person! )

PROS: The Lenght is faaaantaholic. No creasing, no “blowing in the wind”, no fading away even if you’re in the middle of a metal concert!! Optimal for eyebrows! It erases dyscromia on the eyelid.

CONS: it’s silicone based, you’d better not use it in everyday makeup 😉

Hope this was helpful for you. If you have any questions abou those products, just ask!

DEBORAH Milano – SHINE TECH Nail Polish!

Hi everybody!

During the last three weeks, I tried this metallic-brilliant-fast drying Nail polish by DEBORAH, an Italian brand, from the latest collection wich has come out on December 2012.

Shine Tech n° 87 "Silver" - By Deborah

Shine Tech n° 87 “Silver” – By Deborah

It promises to dry fast and give your nails a sparkling and metallic look.

IMG_3347

I’ve found it very easy to apply and remove it with a normal nail polish remover (I’ve used one by Essence), and, above all, I’ve loved it so much!

It really gives metallic silver-like look to your nails, as you can see in the upper photo, and it’s great also on short nails like mine!

😉

Have you ever tried some nail polish from this Collection or this brand?

First revieeeeew: LOVEA Masque Visage Purifiant

Hiii there!!!

Today I’m gonna write about this Organic product by Lovea, a French brand.

Lovea Mask pink clay

This Purifying face mask is made with pink clay (rich in trace elements and puryfies sensitive skins

without irritating it), it’s indicated for sensitive and delicate skin.

This mask promises to purify, nourish and even out your skin.

You have to apply it (avoiding the around eyes area) and leave it work for 5 minutes. Then you can

rinse  your face with water (possibly not cold) and apply your moisture treatement.

I tried twice and I’ ve found that’s really smoothing my skin (even though I don’t have particular skin

problems). My face was less “winter-cold-sad day” and more “oh, there’s a bit of sun there!”.  🙂

This is an interesting product for:

1- it’s not expensive!  3,99 €/75ml

2- it’s made with organic and natural ingredients:

IMG_3312

INCI: Kaolin (used to draw out impurities and toxins and thereby clears the skin of excess oil, dirt, pollutions and other waste materials, stimulates the organic processes in the skin, and acts as a remineralizer of the skin much like thermal mud),Aqua, Illite (Illite refers to a group of clay sized micas that have a higher lattice water content and lowerpotassium content than mica, it’s absorbent), Glycerin (Humectant, it draws water into the outer layer of skin), Butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter*, Betaine (humectant, skin conditioning, viscosity controlling), Cetearyl glucoside (emulsifying, formed by the condensation of cetearyl alcohol (fatty acid) with glucose. Can be naturally derived -from coconut/corn oil- or chemically synthesized.), Cetearyl alcohol (emollient, emulsifying, opacifying),  Aloe barbadensis leaf juice powder*, Caprylyl/capryl glucoside (solubilizing non-ionic surfactant, obtained from renewable raw materials as fatty alcohols and glucose from vegetable origin), Glyceryl caprylate  (fatting, wetting, moisturizing, and co-emulsifying. It is very skinfriendly. Effective for the biological stabilization against yeast and bacterias), Polyepsilon-lysine (hair and skin conditioning, natural origin), Benzyl alcohol  (preservative, fragrance ingredient, also used to dissolve other ingredients to make a smooth formula or solution. It’s often replaced by synthetic version in the laboratory by mixing benzyl chloride with sodium hydroxide that’s very irritating especially for infants), Dehydroacetic acid (preservative, it stops the reproduction and growth of bacteria and fungi. Can be toxic if used in high concentration), Sodium usnate  (antimicrobial, active agent vegetable derived -Lichen).
*Ingredient from Organic Farming
